FFXIV Playability, Portable Mode, and a MidiPilot that knows the manual
- Check FFXIV Playability - a workbench that examines the file the way the game plays it: chords and stacked duplicates on monophonic performers, notes outside C3-C6, track names no instrument matches, voice peak, channel spread, empty tracks. Click a finding to select its notes, double-click to focus the track, delete exactly the marked notes in one undo step, or hand the report to MidiPilot for a prioritised assessment.
- Portable Mode - drop a
portable.txtnext to the exe (or start with--portable) and every setting lives in aconfig/folder beside it - nothing touches the registry. Every data file now has a platform-aware home, which also unblocks the macOS build. - MidiPilot answers editor questions from the manual - "How do I split drums?" no longer gets a guess: two new tools search the built-in manual and quote the page. Right-click selected notes and Ask MidiPilot about the selection sends them straight to the AI.
- The AI arranges for FFXIV, not just legally - new tools
transpose_events,split_chords_to_tracks,copy_events_to_track,convert_tempo_preserve_durationandset_ffxiv_mode, an arrangement guide in the FFXIV context, and the two voice-load tools finally agree. - Small things that add up - Auto-Fit Voice Load can select instead of remove, prompt profiles can hide pitch bends from a single model, an undo-memory readout in the status bar, and the tempo, bar-numbering and export-range fixes.
